Freya's Story
Freya was the catalyst for us finally taking the leap and creating our nonprofit! In January 2024, Freya was posted on a Pomeranian rescue site in desperate need of help. She was only 6 months old and had suffered a severe break of her ulna and radius. She hadn’t even had her leg set, was in extreme pain, and the person who posted her was offering to surrender her to raise money to have her leg amputated at the humane society. After looking at the X-ray and her sweet, innocent (and suffering) face, we offered to fly out, pick her up, and surgically fix the broken leg, if possible. Ultimately, she became "Lucky Number 7" in our little Tuft!
When she came to us, she not only had a severely broken, unset leg but was also covered in fleas, had parasites, and had never been on a leash or in a playpen before. She is now healthy, beautiful, and most importantly, so very happy! She’s also our fastest zoomer!
It is our mission to facilitate a happy ending for all the Poms we can! While we can't personally adopt every one, we are committed to making a difference for as many as we can.
